I forgot the password to unlock my lock screen. its a NOKIA LUMIA 900... HELP!!!

i have a Nokia Lumia 900, and i tried to reset it by using using the volume button, camera key and power button...but it isnt working! i dont know what else to do. i cant go to my "settings" tab and change the code because my phone is locked...i cant use it for anything, my screen is locked and i dont remember the password. i need to fix this and i need help, please someone help!

The only option if you have forgotton your password is to perform a hard reset.

  1. Power off your Nokia Lumia 900.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Down and Camera keys simultaneously, and then press and hold the Power key until the Nokia logo screen goes black.
  3. Release the Power key but continue to hold down the Volume Down and Camera keys until the phone reboots.

    Thank you for posting to the forum.  If you are not able to follow any of the steps outlined in this article, I am afraid there are no other processes to reset that are documented.  At this point you might consider contacting Nokia to see if there are any other options available.

    I bought a phone from my friend but the volume up button is broken is there any other way to reset the phone? She doesnt remember the password

    It didn't work all it did was took me to my camera I need to like hack my phone to get into my stings and change my password.

    You have to turn the phone off hold down the volume down key then plug the charger in and it with come up with an exclamation mark then press volume down volume up power on volume down then it should work
