I forgot the password to unlock my lock screen. its a NOKIA LUMIA 900... HELP!!!

i have a Nokia Lumia 900, and i tried to reset it by using using the volume button, camera key and power button...but it isnt working! i dont know what else to do. i cant go to my "settings" tab and change the code because my phone is locked...i cant use it for anything, my screen is locked and i dont remember the password. i need to fix this and i need help, please someone help!

The only option if you have forgotton your password is to perform a hard reset.

  1. Power off your Nokia Lumia 900.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Down and Camera keys simultaneously, and then press and hold the Power key until the Nokia logo screen goes black.
  3. Release the Power key but continue to hold down the Volume Down and Camera keys until the phone reboots.

    Those types of hard reset do NOT restart and set the phone to factory settings. There is not such thing as a soft reset and hard reset that can be done by pressing any of the buttons on the device. That is a myth. Everything will remain. The ONLY way to erase everything and restore it to factory settings is by connecting it to a computer and selecting  'erase contents' or if the phone is already unlocked you can go to the phone settings and erase all content that way.

    Hi my dear friend.

    forgive me for the delay.

    I think there is no way to unlock it.

    I wish Microsoft will bring some updates to unlock locked phone with it's live account.
