Cannot connect Nokia Lumia get an error 'MTP USB Device Failed Driver Installation’

I tried to connect my new Nokia Lumia 920 to my PC and get the error message in my title.  After troubleshooting still get a message "MTP USB Devise has a driver problem".  Tried FixIt same thing. Reinstalled driver still get the same message.  Anyone solve this problem?  I have a 64bit machine, Windows 7.

if you already solved it that good.

if not this might work because it worked for me :)

unplug your phone usb, then turn your phone off and then plug the usb back on to the computer and then just wait for the phone to start back up and just wait for about 5 min or so, at first it might say fail to install because the phone havent started up probably yet but it should work after your phone go to it home screen. 

if this doesnt work i dont know haha

thing seem to work when you turn it off and turn it back on haha

    i re installed windows so many times, but noting work in my favor.

    Hi,

    Tried succesfully followings in win xp:

     - Opened Device Manager, where seen NOKIA 920 marked with yellow exclamation mark, go to "Update driver" by clicking it,  choose install from a list, then mark the option "Don't search, I will install the driver to install", click Next, in list choose Nokia, then you will see "MTP Device" and "Digital Still Camera". Choose "Digital still camera" and press Next.

    Have tried several times with MTP driver but no results.

    After installing the driver, could see NOKIA 920 in Explorer, transfer files. Looks like MTP driver signature is not compatible with Windows.

    All errors relater to Lumia 920 in Device Manager dissapear, could see under Imaging devices my Lumia 920.

    So, this is working well now!

    ive been trying to fic this issue for 2 days and now thanks to you ive finally done it, ive looked on the net for fixes before but this is the first time ive ever replied im soooooooo happy :) thank you so much
