How do I create new folders or delete folders that I don’t want in my Mail app?

The Mail app shows the folders that are configured with each mail account. If you need to create, rename, or delete a folder, sign in to the web service for your account, such as Hotmail, and make the changes there. Any changes you make to folders through your accounts’ web interface will be automatically reflected in Mail the next time you sync the account.

    michael, i am using an exchange server. the folders that are on my exchange server dont show up on the mail app. only a very few. any ideas?

    Doesn't that mean I should just stick to Google mail and forget this app? Not very useful to flip back and forth.

    How do I" make the changes there" please ?

    Go to the web interface of the email provider and create your folder(s).  The next time the Mail app syncs it should show the newly-created folder(s).
