Can't receive Email from friend

Sorry for the inconvenience and confusion.

To reconfigure your account, kindly follow these steps:

1. Remove your account. Please refer to the article given to you by the previous moderator under the To remove an email account tab.
2. After removing your account, kindly add again your account. To do so, kindly refer to the steps under To add an email account tab.

Please tell me from te following list which one I use to reconfigure my account as none of them say reconfigure!!!

To add an email account

1. Open Windows Live Mail by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Mail, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Live Mail.
2. In the lower-left corner, click Mail.
3. Click the Accounts tab, and then click Email.
4. Type your email address, password, and display name, and then click Next.
5. Follow any additional steps, and then click Next.
6. Click Add another email account if you want to add more accounts, or click Finish to start using Windows Live Mail.

Notes

• To add a Gmail account, change your Gmail settings to enable POP or IMAP access before adding the account.
• To add a Yahoo! account, you need to have Yahoo! Mail Plus.
• If you're asked for server information while adding an account, check your provider's website or contact their customer service to find out what you have to do to finish setting up your email account.

To change server settings for your email service provider

Look on your email account provider's website for the server settings.

1. Open Windows Live Mail by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Mail, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Live Mail.
2. Click the email account you want to change.
3. Click the Accounts tab, and then click Properties.
4. Click the Servers tab, type the information provided by your email service provider, and then click OK. You might also have to change information in the Advanced tab.

To remove an email account

Before removing an account, check that the messages you want saved are available when you sign in to the web version. For example, if you want to remove a Yahoo! account, sign in at http://mail.yahoo.com and verify that your messages are there. If some of your messages are available only in Windows Live Mail, export your messages before removing the account. See How do I import and export email, contacts, and calendars with Windows Live Mail?

1. Right-click the account you want to remove, and then click Remove account.
2. Click Yes to confirm.

To add an RSS feed

Before you get started, make sure you have the URL for the RSS feed you want to add.

1. Open Windows Live Mail by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Mail, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Live Mail.
2. In the left pane, click Feeds.
3. Click the Home tab, and then click Feed.
4. Type the web address for the RSS feed, and then click OK. To view the feed, click the RSS feed under Your feeds.

To add a newsgroup

There is no info on how to re configure account.  please explain so I don't mess it up.

If you can receive few emails, emails from other of your accounts that are configured to Windows Live Mail then I suggest that you re-configure the account that you're having a problem receiving emails. Refer to the link below for your guide:

From the statement you mentioned "I can't receive on either e-mail in my hotmail account." Please check if there are emails that arrive on your Hotmail account by accessing it at the website.
