Had the same problem.
Solution: Control Panel/User Accounts/Reset security policies.

After awhile Windows 8 keeps logging me out. then I have to click then re-enter my password every time.
How can I disable this?
I only have one user account and will not have any others.

Thanks for attempting to resolve my problem, although your answer is very extreme and actually wasn't necessary. I just adjusted the Screen Saver settings to NEVER and now I am not logged out. It was very easy...but I appreciate your assistance.
Solution
Right click on Desktop
click Personalize
click Screen Saver
click Change Power Settings
click Require a password on wakeup
click Change settings that are currently unavailable
click Do not require a password
click Save changes
