After awhile Windows 8 keeps logging me out. then I have to click then re-enter my password every time.

How can I disable this?

I only have one user account and will not have any others.

Had the same problem.

Solution: Control Panel/User Accounts/Reset security policies.

    Hi Davemanvell,

Thank you for the reply. You can try altering the screen saver settings and also the sleep / hibernate settings and check if it helps.

If the issue persists, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.

That's correct. if I leave the system alone, after a few minutes (Maybe 15-30?) I am logged out automatically. I'd like to disable this so i never log out.

Yes I looked at what was written previously. the shutdown and startup link does not help. Went through it all. The other is a troubleshooter and there is nothing to troubleshoot. My PC and windows installation is working fine.

This is an operational type of question.
