HELP!

I want to report a phonecall/scam I received - this one last night - supposedly from Microsoft.  I want these crooks nailed to the wall.  I can't figure out how to contact a human in the Microsoft empire to give the specifics I gleaned from my caller.  Hopefully, a Microsoft personage will email me back as this is not my 1st scam by phone (my CELL PHONE!) or by EMAIL from India trying to get me to follow her 7 steps to clearing my laptop of a bunch of "vicious viruses".  I got her name, phone number, web address, etc.

Please, Microsoft person, contact me so I can turn  my notes over to you to follow up protecting your name & our safety as best as possible and "contend removed: please don't cures  thank you"

THANK YOU!!

R. A. Malloy

As so many respond to this and I have reported this 8 times and if anything the calls have increased. Are you doing anything?  11:19 am 1/18/2018 phone call: ID = jackline dsouza from phone # 1-196-526-1454; Said she was from microsoft and a red light had flashed at their business telling them that my microsoft was under attach and to stop it from spreading if I didn't call immediately and let them correct the problem from going to others in the next fw minutes microsoft would sever all connections to my computer for-ever. Was not at a place where I could write the number I recieved down - started with 965 - SORRY?? With all you fancy computers isn't there a way to stop this?

I just checked the "blogs.microsoft.com" site again and it appears to have been updated with a great deal of new information, including a link to "www.microsoft.com/reportascam". I appreciate your providing the blog link information above and will make one more attempt to report my latest scam calls via the additional "reportascam" link.

It would really have been nice if the individual I spoke with at Microsoft, a miracle in itself, had been knowledgeable enough to know that there was an actual Microsoft site for customers to report and provide the documentation required to explain the calls they were receiving.

I did attempt to report this to Microsoft and was told that there was nothing they could do. Nor could they advise me as to who, or how, to report the scam calls.

I certainly did not expect Microsoft to do anything to stop the scammer's calls. I simply contacted them to reconfirm my understanding that they never contact customers, which I already knew, and if they could advise me as to who this should be reported to. In the past, I have filed complaints with the FCC and even with the FBI. The FBI report also included information related to much more severe scam calls, especially those which were supposedly from the IRS and very threatening.

Your statement that Microsoft does nothing is absolutely not true. At least if you are looking for something a little more substantial than just a blog on which to add more notes of frustration. This includes the one you listed above, on which I have reported my concerns in the past a number of times.

I have contacted Microsoft multiple times with zero assistance or even the slightest interest or concern on their part. In the future, I will just ignore the calls and keep my frustration to myself.

Scammers are calling and you expect Microsoft to stop the calls?

    Try the FCC.

Did you report this to Microsoft? Doesn't look like it.

Search for Microsoft scammers and you will find this.

You are wrong to say Microsoft does nothing.
