One question I have - (forgive me I'm middle-aged )- do you have to download all of Mozilla (browser as well), or can you just use Thunderbird as a stand alone programme.

when I go and forward an email that I just recived that has photos in it it will not send the photos with the email... A message comes up from Windows Live Mail...... one or more of the pictures in this message could not be found when you send these pictures will not be included. are you sure you want to send this message....this happens with all my emails that have been sent to me when I try to forward to others it will not send pictures with the forward email and I am using Windows Live Mail...

2012-12-10T23:15:13+00:00 I went to Thunderbird after I first posted here, and never looked back....It is a decent program...Takes a little getting used to, but ten times better than Live Mail.....I don't think I would go back to OE if the did reestablish it....TB needs a little tweaking here and there, but all in all, I am satisfied...Good luck if you go to it....I do not think you will be disappointed....

It seems that it is impossible in Windows Live Mail. I hate it! this horrible email system has been foisted on us. I bought a new laptop earlier this year and Live Mail is driving me nuts! Why did they abandon Outlook Express - I'm so annoyed. I don't want to waste hours and hours trying to do what Outlook did at the press of a button.
I think I too will change to Mozilla!

2012-11-18T04:39:36+00:00 Like others, I have read this whole thread looking for a solution to the picture forwarding problem. We've had it on 2 new desktops and a new laptop, all with Windows 7. We hate 7 and we hate Windows Live Mail. Everyone I know who uses it has the same problem with pictures, and the MS 'experts' do not seem to come up with a solution, at least not one they can explain to us technology challenged users. I cannot believe a company as large as Microsoft can have such a problem for so long and not even acknowledge it.
