Why did Microsoft discontinue the Zune HD?

very dissapointed in response for repair. I have a Zune 120g and absoultely love it. Support wants to  replace it with an 80G for 120$. If I wanted an 80g  Thats what I would have bought. How do I get a 120G.  I dont want an Ipod 160g. I dont like apple products. I have a Blackberry, HTC Inspire, Iphone. I dont want the music on my phone, only a mp3 player. What other options are there  to get a harge G player.

I am in the UK and Zune devices were never sold outside the USA. If you want to replace a Zune then why not buy a Nokia Lumia 520 for $99 and stick in 64gb memory card. You never have to put a sim in the card and you pretty much have a media device with wifi for less than half the cost of an ipod touch.

If you take a sim out of a phone you have an MP3 player.

The windows phone may be a giant leap for windows and few of microsoft's customers,but for many others it may be a downgrade. A big portion of  customers may not be able to afford something like the windows phone because of the price on the windows phone not to mention the high bills costs of the big cell phone companies. i believe microsoft should get back into the zune because apple is weak when in comes to delivering hd video,many people like i would love to have a device can play hd video,connects with HDMI, can receive wifi, allows HD gaming,applications'hd recording,hd pictures,and sync items using wifi. In addition relaunching the zune can have many benefits. Wouldn't it be great if one could media share from the zune to the xbox one 'for example you go to your friend's house and you want to show him a new film that he has to see' but your friend doesn't have enough microsoft points to purchase or rent it. on the other hand you have it on your zune infinity( or anyother name you would like to call the new zune) and you don't want to go through the whole process of downloading your account what better way to solve this than with a media share(which is something apple hasn't thought of) In addition you could make the new zune compatible with android. I am just asking you make something like the windows tablet but smaller and not as pricier as the ipod touch i hope to hear about a new mp3 play by microsoft.
