OK. It now works. Just restart your machine and let the download happen on it's own. the intelitype application will install with the latest drivers and settings application.
Good luck.
Lets hear other's success.

for my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit system now every time i reboot the computer windows automatically downloads and then installs the Microsoft intellitype pro software. First apun rebooting I get the small icon in the system tray that indicates that something is being installed i click on it i then get a message telling me [Driver software installation / Installing device driver software / Microsoft hardware USB keyboard] then after that i get another window that pops up this one says: [Downloading Microsoft Intellitype Pro / Driver installation complete. Downloading keyboard configuration software (Microsoft IntelliType Pro) after that a bubble appears in my system tray telling me that the device had been installed sucessfully.
Then life goes on ...... But i would like to know what happened so I can stop this, its very annoying
Some things I have done to try to fix the problem
1.) Uninstalled the microsoft intellitype pro 8.0 and the Microsoft intellipoint 8.0 software from add remove programs list... reboot ...problem still exists
I was hoping someone else had some more ideas :)
THANK YOU!
PS I have Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 3000 v1.0
Mouse drivers were installed & works just fine No Problems there!

Here is my 2 cents again.... Since installing sp1 (and many of us have) we dont have the ability 2 do a system restore, even before that however I had the ability to do a sytem restore prior to installing sp1 but i had done so many uninstalling and installing of drivers for the keyboard and mouse trying to troublshoot the problem that it pushed the restore point i needed out of the list by the time i tried system restore it was too late (hindsight is 20/20) guess I should have tried a system restore first before all the troublshooting installing and uninstalling drivers..........sigh........oh well so I wait....LOL

Same problem here, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits, Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 v1.0
Hope microsoft fix it soon
Also add me to the frustrated users list.
It is also present in Spanish versions of Windows 7.
I have this #$%$&@ annoyance as of yesterday and I don't feel like going the system restore way.
I wish there were somethig like "un-update" to roll back this update only.
