Windows Update Failure Error Code 9C48 Unable to Fix.

I've cleaned the registry, retried update, rebooted, and still no luck. Any clue as to what this error code refers to ? My current version of IE is now dysfunctional too!

OK here is a solution (that worked for me):

a. Install IE9 from: http://internet-explorer.uk.msn.com/

b. Reboot

c. Uninstall IE9 (From: Control Pannel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates > Windows Internet Explorer 9)

d. Reboot

e. Run windows update and install IE9 (Now it will work).

f. Reboot.

    i m trying to upgrade to IE9 but error code 9c48 is showing and even ma old IE is not working

    First steps works, but I can't uninstall since it isn't shown......

    Do we have to install uk ie9 b/4 installing ie9 from usa? and whats the diference? thay all english speaking Nations!

    I agree with u, why not remove the update as an important or even not to display it any more, since no one knows what it can do, my machine still works well with the ie9 I already had.
