how do I get rid of a split e-mail screen and back to a full e-mail screen to read mail?

How do I restore screen back to a full screen to read my e-mails?? It is now a screen split in half! Also when sending an outgoing e-mail it notifies me "error, pop 3" & tells me e-mails "not sent." What does that mean???? Please help!!??

This should be an option, because not everyone likes the column concept. Please inform me on how to change my Hotmail back to full screen. Thank you.
