how do I get rid of a split e-mail screen and back to a full e-mail screen to read mail?

How do I restore screen back to a full screen to read my e-mails??  It is now a screen split in half!  Also when sending an outgoing e-mail it notifies me "error, pop 3"   & tells me e-mails "not sent."    What does that mean????   Please help!!??

    When on your inbox page, look to the upper right side of the page on that strip where it has the words Delete, Reply, Archive, Junk, etc. then follow that all the way to the right and there is a slider button that says Try the Beta and click that off. Beta splits the screen.
