Don't worry about it - I fixed it by following the steps below...

Thanks anyway! :-)

Temporarily shut down anti-virus and firewall software
Open Control Panel, Programs and Features (or Add and Remove Programs), and go to the uninstall section
Remove all Apple products in this order - iTunes, Quicktime, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, Apple Application Support. You do not need to remove Safari
Restart computer
Go to Apple.com and download newest version of iTunes
Re-install

This is a simple, effective solution to the problem. Much easier and faster than reinstalling ALL Apple Software. Wish Apple would do a better job on the installation application. Thanks!

just updated to itunes 10.5.1 and it would no longer recognise my ipod or iphone4. After this fix it worked perfectly. Thanks junkotobin!! Appreciate it a lot.

You must search in all disk from the root directory. I find it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\ASC and C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Digital Imaging...

When i replaced all files it work fine
