I gave my handset with a broken charger socket for repair to M/s Durga Communications, Shop No. - 48, Mall Road, Kingsway Camp, Delhi - 110009 on 28th April 2014. While surrendering the handset, the employee duly handed me back the SIM, battery and the back cover. When I went back to collect the repaired handset the next day on 29th April, Mr Pankaj Sukheja of M/s. Durga Communications pointed out that the memory card is absent in the slot! He is of the opinion that the unknown employee must have handed me over along with the battery, SIM and back cover at the time of surrendering the handset for repair, but which did not happen.
Now, my concern is about the integrity of the people Nokia's franchise employ. I gave my handset for repairing in good faith that the said enterprise is an authorised Nokia service centre, only to be rudely shocked by artilces/parts bieng stolen. Also, a multinational company with a large international presence as Nokia is expected to have certain standard protocol to be trained to each employee while dealing with customers; how can you expect an independent customer to be already aware of his/her liabilities without a sensitization by the contact employee abou the same? This was just a puny 2GB memory card in my case, but the experience that has been exemplified by the employee of your franchise leaves me with an utter unfortunate disdain towards Nokia's work ethics; after all the theft of my memory card happened at the premises that operates under the Nokia brand.
P.S.- Let me also mention that I have been a Nokia user since 2003; have used Nokia handsets from the basic to the high end, across the price segments, even setting a trend amongst peers. Never had minded on spending my money on a Nokia; and whether you (if at all anyone concerned is reading this) care or not but that ends now!
