Event says when my system froze that "The DgiVecp service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified."

I found  the exact problem that causes this freezes. My computer freezed today at 20:17. I went to the event viewer and found that at that time there is an event says that "The DgiVecp service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified."

Is there anyone who knows about it?

Press Enter

Navigate to the following key:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

 Look for an entry listed as DgiVecp

 If you find this, then change the Start data value to 4.

 Reboot the system and see if the message is gone.

Event ID 6008 - is it still showing up in Event Viewer?  Possibilities were heat, video drivers, faulty devices, failing HD's etc

    Yes I supposed that my freezes are beacuse of this service. I applied the solution in this thread and it resolved. Now I have different problem with my computer. The problem occurs when I put a usb stick on to computer which is "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1."

    I tried to solve this. What do you think about that problem can it cause this freezes.

    Your latest post and your original question seem to be two different problems!  Your original question had to do with the DgiVECP driver errors.  Your latest seems to be about system crashes.  There also seem to be posts that have to do with NEITHER problem.  Is the original problem that you created this thread for (the DgiVECP issue) fixed?

    If not, please see my post four above this one.  It explains what DgiVECP is, as well as showing you how to both disable it and delete it.

    Again, I suggest just disabling it first, although, if it's not starting then there's obviously nothing using it, so it should be safe to delete.  Regardless, simply disabling it will get rid of the error messages.

    Also, as a system administrator, I HIGHLY recommend using the "SC" command rather than editing the Registry directly, as others have suggested!  There may be other changes that need to be done to the registry than those suggested by others, and the SC command will take care of them automatically.

    Furthermore, changing the Registry, if you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing, has the potential to be catastrophic!

    Finally, using the SC command is easier, as you can cut and paste the command  line (either disable or delete) from above
