Specified Module could not be found (LogiLDA.dll)

I made the mistake of running a registry cleaner and now get a computer startup error that states that the following ddl cannot run. As far as I can tell it is a Ligitech<br> Download Manager file. Do you know what I can do to fix this? <br><br> <br><br>C:\Windows\System32\LogiLDA.dll

I had it too. This is what I did to fix it.

I went to Control Panel>System>Device Manager>Human Interface Devices>USB input Device (Logitech Download Assistant). Doube click. Uninstall driver.

Then Action>Scan for hardware changes and the driver updates itself from MS with Logitech ware. 

"logiLDA.dll" error is GONE.

I personally like a clean registry, although I know tech fundamentalists don't. So I will stick with it, but will keep an open mind.

If it comes back I will repost, as the idea of a "restore" is a good suggestion.

Do a system restore to a date before you used the registry cleaner.

And in the future, avoid using registry cleaners. Registry cleaning

programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the registry isn't needed

and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and don't use any registry

cleaner. Despite what many people think, and what vendors of registry

cleaning software try to convince you of, having unused registry

entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously

removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit

it may have.

benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad

bargain.

    Hello,

     

    I'll just upgraded my Windows 8 to Windows 8.1.

    Now I'll recive the LogiDLA message at startup/logon.

     

    My fix.

     

    Launch the Taskmanager.

    Under TAB Startup search for LogiLDA

    Right mouse button an disable.

     

    Message popup resolved.

     

    Stop here if you dont know the Windows registry.

    But if you know go to the next step.

     

    Open the commandprompt and type Regedit

     

    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    Find the entry Logitech Download Assistant

     

    Select it, right mouse button and Remove.

    Thank you very much, Marcel!  I started getting the same pop-up after upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and none of the other solutions before your helped.  But yours took care of it very quickly and easily.

    Not sure why I started getting this, though.  I do have a Logitech keyboard but I never installed their software for it.  Oh well, the pop-up is gone now at least.

    I have had this problem to on the new windows 8 8.1 and their is a site you can get any dll files for repairing your dll files after you kill it with a registry cleaner

    you don't have to purchase the soft ware you can find any dll file in the advanced section all you have to do is extract it to the folder that the dll is missing from

    I found a post on the Logitech site forum that solved this easily for me and very quickly. I removed the usb dongle unifier from one usb 3. connection and plugged it in to a port not previously used for that mouse. Presto! The problem disappeared.
