I've been so frustrated with this problem and can't believe it's been going on for so long. Will we see an answer to the problem before 2013, my guess is NO.
When forwarding emails, pictures are stripped from text & put in slide show destroying original
I have Windows 7 & IE8. When I receive a perfectly good email with pictures or gif's embedded in the text and TRY TO FORWARD IT, the forwarded email has all the pictures stripped out & put in a slide show. The text is full of the dreaded red x's & the whole thing is unreadable.
How can I stop this? Turn off the slide show feature?

2012-12-02T23:31:57+00:00 Hi everyone,
As already confirmed on this thread, this is a known issue with Live Mail that should be fixed in the next release of the client. I'm afraid we still have no exact time to confirm when the next release will be. Updates should be posted in these forums.
For the meantime, you can send the e-mail as attachment instead of forwarding them to your contacts. That should retain all the images in the e-mail.
Well here we are - Windows Live Glenn M said on May 8, 2011, nearly one year ago,

So tell me Windows Live Glenn M, when will we see the next release of the client?
I am sure we are all waiting with bated breath for your answer.

2012-09-04T12:55:55+00:00 The problem as I see it is connected to Win 7 64 bit and WLM, I have people with Win 7 64 bit and WLM sending me emails with images removed & red X's ...Using Firefox solved the Red X problem for a while , now it no longer cures the Red X problem. I am using Win 7 64 bit and WLM... waiting almost 2 years for MS to fix this problem...

2012-09-04T04:07:54+00:00 Okay, you all,
It's been two years now that this problem has persisted, and we are no closer to a solution than we were at the beginning.
Can I get some feedback here?
1) The reported problem seems to happen ONLY when mail is
from, or forwarded by, someone using Thunderbird, or maybe
a WebMail utility such as gMail. When I use WLM back-and-
forth with friends who use Outlook, there is no problem.
2) This problem did NOT occur under the previous version of
Windows Live Mail. Only after we 'upgraded' to Version 2011
which came out late in 2010.
Anyone else agree with this? Maybe this sort of info will help MS figure out what's going on. WLM is a very nice mail 'client' (program), why can't they fix this one shortcoming? Are there any OTHER issues with WLM?
