I have Acer Aspire 7515z. I using windows 7 RTM. Now it is showing a cross icon on battery saying that "Consider replacing your battery" as my battery is giving the same performance. I disabled the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Battery Method, it vanished the icon but didn't extended my battery's life. I re-installed windows but same issue is occuring. Help me to sort out this issue. thanks

Can't even find a 7515z in the Acer list!!
It could be that the battery in the laptop is not in good condition and Windows is telling you this, so do NOT turn off the warnings..

I had this problem too. I decided to take it into my own hands and now my problem is fixed, I will tell you what I did to fix this problem. Please reconize that windows 7 doesnt allways mess up so you may really have to replace your battery.
I turned on my laptop for a little online gaming. My desktop loaded and so did my icons. I saw the battery error saying to consider replacing your battery. I had my laptop plugged in. I immediently shut my laptop down and restarted it. The same error occured. This time i turned it off I popped out the battery, waited about 10 seconds then put it back in. It wouldnt start up so I plugged the charging cable back in. I then unplugged it and shut down on my battery power. I waited about 5 minutes then I came back. I kept the charging cable out and turned it back on. This time it worked. Everything loaded up properly and the battery icon saying that I should replace my battery was gone. It was at 33% battery.
Im sorry if this solution doesnt work for you, Im just stating how I fixed it. My laptop is nearly 2 years old so older laptops will probably work. I had a predownloaded version of windows 7 home premium. If this works please vote this as helpfull so others will be able to see.

it really worked! anyone who have this error "consider replacing your battery" try this:
use your laptop without charging until the pc shut down itself because the battery is totally empty
now dont charge your laptop yet. try to switch on your laptop. if it doesnt start means that your laptop battery is totally empty.
after that you can charge your laptop.start you laptop and see if the error still exists. i did this and up to here i dont see anymore of the error "consider replacing your battery" on the taskbar battery icon.
when your battery is 100% charged, stop charging your laptop. use your laptop until the battery is totally empty and then the laptop will shut down itself when the battery is empty.
Dear MuNNa1988, Try taking out your battery and waiting 10 seconds, putting it back in, then allow your laptop to boot up sideways, or even upside down if you can't take this any longer, allowing the battery to tilt while the OS configures memory may allow you to resolve this issue. Since you have a smaller type of a laptop, try tilting it around, don't worry about harddrive spill, as long as you don't have anything running in the background doing anything intensively.
