Desktop Icon Font Color - How do I change the font color of the text that describes desktop icons?

The drop shadow does not work well with monitors of lesser resolution, especially when the background is white.

My suggestion is why not "GLOW" option available in MS Word / Word Art  in black color instead of black drop shadow.

Request you to give it a trial shot and compare the results when the background is white and other very light shades. 

I agree for almost all other colors, the drop shadow works.

You cannot change the Desktop font color.

Because Desktop wallpaper images have varying colors, it is easy for the font colors to be unreadable if they are on top of the same color as a wallpaper image. For instance a black font on top of a dark part of the background image or a white font on a white part of a background image.

The Desktop icon fonts are dynamic and will show white on dark backgrounds and change to white with a black shadow effect on a light background.

I  find that the "black shadow effect on light background" is not working.

Can you please contact the tech department and have them look into the black shadow effect?

I am getting older since first computer in 1997 and my eyes are not as sharp as use to be. (neither is my mind) L.O.L.

None of these fixes work. Another example of the Microsoft Clowns building a system that does WHAT THEY WANT, RATHER THAN WHAT YOU NEED! Just another reason I'll be getting an Apple computer next time I invest $$ in a system that I HOPE will work. You've heard the old joke: "Microsoft Works" is an oxymoron.
