I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. How do I change the font color that describes the desktop icons?

Hi

You cannot change the Desktop font color.

Because Desktop wallpaper images have varying colors, it is easy for the font colors to be unreadable if they are on top of the same color as a wallpaper image. For instance a black font on top of a dark part of the background image or a white font on a white part of a background image.

The Desktop icon fonts are dynamic and will show white on dark backgrounds and change to white with a black shadow effect on a light background.

    wow... you guys in Microsoft must REALLY DETEST the average user! After all windows 7 was a MAJOR pain in the **** to learn NOW you got Win 8 which is 10 times WORSE!! I don't suppose there is ANY hope that you will return to the USER FRIENDLY format anytime soon instead of all this bloated pseudo-dynamic ****? White is nice on black and black is nice on white BUT... Life and computers are not always BLACK AND WHITE!

    Adding such features to windows may make it easier, or more enhanced. but taking away a feature like customizing the desktop icon font or color is pointless. It is a change for worse not for better. I don't know what Microsoft is thinking. Screwing up on something as simple as this make is hard to say "Microsoft is Improving"

    Don't remove user interface features. That's a downgrade for windows. You should keep everything available if someone wants to use windows the old fashion way. What is worse, is that after Microsoft does that. They go and sign contracts with PC manufacturers to have all the new production be equipped with windows 8. which is ****.

    Now they loose money.
