whenever I go to update Windows 7 my new laptop freezes and the computer ends up not responding. Whenever I try to open my computer, documents, control panel or search the following error message appears The remote procedure call failed and did not execute

Hi aaabbbcccdddeeefffggg,

Try the following steps :

Type Services into the start menu search box.

In Services, scroll down to "Remote Procedure Call" and make sure the status says "Started"

and set to Automatic.

The second "RPC Locator" should be set to "Manual".

If the issue persists, as a workaround you may perform an online scan on your computer and check if the error message is caused due to malware or any virus.

Now visit the below provided link to perform an online scan on your computer.

Later try installing updates and check.

    Yeah, good luck with this one.

    7 pages of comments suggests that Microsoft is going to allow its customers to continue to suffer the pain that it inflicts on us.

    Yeah, good luck.

    You may want a script for some vicodin, for pain relief.
