"Your power plan information isn't available." I have tried to:
Delete Registy Values for PowerSettings (HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\power\powersettings)
Import PowerSettings from another computer (HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\power\powersettings).
Manually Delete all but the three main Power Plans using powercfgCommand line typing powercfg /RestoreDefaultPoliciesCreating an new User AccountChecking Windows Update and I am completely up to date.
None of these work.
Someone suggested getting the PowerSettings from another user -?-
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you own a Samsung laptop, disable the 'fast start' feature search for 'fast' in the search bar. I had the exact same problem now it works fine i have control over my power settings.

Also, did you try running the following command from an "elevated" command prompt, to set all default power plans back to default settings:
Start > type cmd.exe in the "Search programs and files" box, then right-click cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"
Then, at the command prompt, type the following and press "Enter":
powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

I have few steps that might fix the issue.
· To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
2. Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue
3. At the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow

· If this does not work, then follow these steps:
1. Run regedit from Administrator account.
a. Click on start, type regedit in start search box and press Enter.
2. Download PSTools PsTools
3. Extract from this psexec.exe and place it in C:\Windows\System32
4. Run cmd.exe with administrative privileges
a. Click on start, type cmd in start search box and press Enter.
5. Now, type: psexec -s -i -d regedit
6. Next choose File>>Import :choose my *.reg file and click on apply.
7. Restart computer

I found a solution also. It is a “partial” prevention and an easier fix. It isn’t a permanent fix, but as far as I can tell none of us has found that yet. This information will probably help others while we all wait for MS to become interested.
I have the problem worse than most. I used all the fixes posted here and added cleaning the registry, which also works sometimes. Sometimes I had to use them over and over again for up to 8 times, but I was always able to eventually get it fixed.
By the way, I also have PowerChute. I disconnected the UPS USB connection and uninstalled the software to hopefully fix the problem. It seemed to help but I eventually got the problem back anyway. Because of what I discovered below, I was able to reinstall PowerChute and I have a lot fewer problems now, but it still happens occasionally – especially after any kind of crash.
Partial prevention: Many of us have our machines set such that the hard drive is turned off while the computer is running and we don’t even know it. I got this tip from imdavo77 when he mentioned that WD drives occasionally cause this. I don’t have a WD drive, but I have a 4-disc RAID array and I can see synchronizing the turnoff as a possible cause for the problem. Doing this did seem to reduce the number of problems for me significantly. Even if you don’t have a WD drive or a RAID array, try setting the hard disk to never turn off while the computer is running. (Power Options -- select plan – Change advanced options – change settings that are currently unavailable – expand Hard disk – select Never)
Easier fix: Where I used to have to try several things (SFC, Powercfg, clean registry) over and over again, one thing seems to take the place of all three other fixes – We used to call it ChkDsk. I don’t know if it is still called that, but you get it with a right-click on the disk, then select Tools tab, and “Check now”. Then reboot and go have a cup of coffee. When I do it the computer comes up with the power options set just as they were before I got the problem. It doesn’t revert to the default setup.

Don't mess with the registry, the above page instructions are the the best way to straighten out the power options
