How to play FLAC file with Windows Media Player 12

Posts here can be several days (weeks sometimes) apart and in the meantime I have dealt with many differing W7 issues in this forum and three others and do so freely in my own time.

I have never used Vista and avoid it's OP issues.

Other posters who have a problem and joined the subject thread with an issue of their own (on whatever page) have basically created a new thread within a thread (referred to as "innocently hijacking").

Without re-reading the entire thread when a "post" is e-mailed to me, it is very easy to think the thread is still on-topic with the original thread OP.

Sometimes post confusion can take place here due to the unusual reply/answer forum set-up that I am only just getting used to and also when a thread not only changes OP, but the operating system changes as well!

I'm not going to apologize for not being  perfect in following the entire thread and especially when someone starts playing the man and not the ball.

Posters could help here by not jumping into threads with their own issues, especially when a different OS or program version (in this instance here) is involved. Starting your own a thread in the appropriate forum might be a good idea : )

I am only here on this same subject because I keep getting email messages. When you responded yesterday as if you did not know that Razell is using another operating system other than what you were advising on, it seemed strange. No one is holding you to perfection since you are a material being. But to dismiss the issue as never knowing after debating me the way you have is strange. I always read the name of the person who has replied and have noticed different comments or jump ins. But it was quite obvious what was going on. After this post I am opting out of this discussion. I hope that the people who started asking the question about FLAC play in Windows media player 11 & 12 from 2010 have found a way to play that file format. I have Windows 8 64 bit.

Glad you accomplished your goal. Razell tell leefrost to his face that you have been following his instructions and you told him head on that your OS is Windows Vista  with WMP11. So maybe he will own up to it.
