How to play FLAC file with Windows Media Player 12

Is there any way to play Flac files with Windows Media Player 12? A hefty percentage of my music library is FLAC.

Thank you for your inquiry.

The Flac extension is not a supported file type of Windows Media Player. You may however user your favorite search engine to search for a solution that may convert the file to a Windows Media Player supported file type.

Hi - But... This is a windows 7 thread... It is also a peer to peer forum with minimal admin - nearly all volunteers- however auto-locking of dormant threads is being rolled out and will be applied here in due course. We do where possible, encourage new posters to use the Ask A Q button top right but there are thousands of old threads that are still receiving posts so changing this may take a while!

Is there no time limit for VERY OLD answers to mix into 2017's world?

FLAC is supported since Windows 10.

I need information how to set up, I know info IT is not supported.

FLAC IS supported in Windows 10. Check Wikipedia "FLAC".

And that was news to me... must check. It should be supported.
