As the title says, I want to have my speakers and my HDMI to play at the same time from the same application, I've only been able to select one OR the other as default device: If I: Select speker as default device Start playing something (and can of course hear it from the speakers) Select HDMI as default device Then: Speakers stop playing HDMI starts playing I just want both to be playing together. It took some time searching around but I finally managed to find an answer by myself, I'm posting the solution here in case anyone has a similar issue: Open Sound panel Select Speakers as the default playback device Go to the "Recording" tab Right click and enable "Show Disabled Devices" A recording device called "Wave Out Mix", "Mono Mix" or "Stereo Mix" (this was my case) should appear Right click on the new device and click "Enable" Right click on the new device and click "Set as Default Device" Double click on the new device to open the Properties window Go to the "Listen" tab Click on the "Listen to this device" checkbox Select your HDMI device from the "Playback through this device" list And you're done, the drawback is that you won't have a microphone selected as default recording device, but for what concerns me I couldn't care less.

This worked and one more thing. After these steps I made my microphone as default playback device again and both my tv, my pc speakers were still playing the sounds and my mic was working too. If you need your mic work do this

worked for me :D ...but is there anyway possible for you to have ur mic working at the same time? Wanna have it so my freinds can watch me and hear those i am on Teamspeak with on the TV, and still be able to talk with those i am on Teamspeak with, any1 know if its possible? :) Thanks in advance Erik

I tried this and it worked initially, but then after rebooting the pc it didn't work anymore. i can see the connection setup still and the music bars going up and down when i click on recording tab and see the stero mix. It is still pointed at HDMI, but no sound out of the tv speakers.. just the external speakers.. any other suggestion?? thanks..
