Is there a stop to Internet Backgammon cheaters?

"One more thing...try playing as a beginner, not an expert. They tend not to use the cheat programs against beginners."

What a farce this line is.

How could you be so naive.

The truth is, once these mental midgets start using cheat programs where they can manipulate THEIR numbers and YOURS, they tend to set traps that cant be avoided.

It doesn't take long for them to realize they are playing a person who refuses to use cheat programs, because they respect the game in it's purity. Knowing this, they play a completely different game.

It is no longer a game of skill and the luck of the roll. It turns into a predator game where the one with all of the odds and the ability to manipulate the entire game enjoys seeing those they cheat on, squirm to get out of a situation they would never been in,.. in any legit game.

Their opponent (you) now has to play a purely defensive game, its constantly ducking their mis-moves, their constantly changing numbers that have already been rolled, or cheating you out of the moves your numbers have given you by rolling their numbers before you complete your move.

In spite of all of these advantages, they still find themselves in a pinch from time to time, because the legit player only gets better and better fighting for his/her game despite all the advantages the pathetic COWARD with the training wheels and crutches has at their disposal.

You see this time and time again, when in the last lap of the game and they find they have not been able to keep up, they start rolling doubles everywhere they go, to play catch up.

While you are working with odd numbers they have to make sure they move their stones with perfect matches for safety sake.

Their stones are always perfectly matched.

If they don't have the probably of matching they will manipulate the die to insure they do. This takes all of the risk out of it for them.

You might think of it as a 25 year old guy hanging out at a primary school to harass and beat up 10 year old girls on their way home.

They have all the advantages against the child by virtue of their **** and age, but hey,....watching the child struggle for their life against the bully is what gets them off.

Challenging another equal in size and strength to them is inconceivable. Though they are of the same dimensions, they don't have the intelligence or motor skills to win in a fight. Because of that, they seek much weaker prey to insure their victory.

Once these PATHETIC COWARDS have access to cheat programs and use them, the weaker their ability to play a straight game becomes, and they NEVER abandon the cheat programs,... Mama's ****.

They are like the shoplifter that brags about all they have, but never paid a dime for any of it. They aren't intelligent enough to earn the money it takes to possess the goods, so they steal them.

I was just reading about a child walking home from school that got beaten so bad he may never recover because someone wanted his Nike shoes.

These are the mind sets we are working with,...these are the COWARD LEMMINGS that ruin a fabulous game for everyone else.

So what do we do? If you love the game, play them anyway as far as you can, you will only get stronger. The results of your effort in battling them will make you smarter. Just realize that you must think completely different when it comes to strategy.

You must become an expert at defense. With all the bells and whistles they have you don't, you will seldom ever win, but that's the point. To level the playing field make sure they don't either.

Some cheaters will purposely leave their stones uncoupled purposely hoping you will hit them, just to get a bunch of them in your home port. This strategy is used to hit all of your stones coming home.

When you see this, avoid hitting any of their stones sitting there by themselves. When they force you to hit them by manipulating your die coming off the rail, it's time to leave the game.

Enjoy the game as long as you can, let them get close to a win, and then split leaving them hanging.

There is nothing a COWARD SOCIOPATH hates more than being deprived of something he didn't earn in the first place. Those worthless Mickey Mouse points they accumulate by stealing games means everything to them.

Their crippled minds cant function with out their mental wheelchair.

So,...play them as far as you can, but never let them win.

Barossa, It is not a glitch. It is cheating. Their cheat program fouls up on the start and they crash the game. It is so obvious when these guys are cheating. They stall before they roll because they are setting up the perfect roll.

Laurie, you may be right although I have played many games and only seen this a few times. I have also seen people stall but it is not always followed by a perfect roll.

I am almost tempted to download the cheat program myself just so I know exactly how it works. But I just don't want that **** on my computer. When I googled Microsoft BG cheaters and cheat programs I saw it so I'm sure it's easy for anyone to cheat. Just as I'm sure it would be easy for MS to fix this problem. My pieces should not move on his/her roll ever. Nor should I ever land in the same slot with 2 of the opponents pieces (2 brown on the bottom with a white on top of them) I still win quite a few games as well. I have even beat the cheaters a few times. There are still some of us that like to play because of the enjoyment of the game, win or lose. However, I do not like to play with cheaters!

Nobody wants to play with cheaters but still I think quitters are more annoying because they are so common . . . the majority I think . . . it is just a form of rudeness. OTOH you also have people who will not resign or accept a perfectly obvious one. If you play the expert level one should expect that everyone knows how the cube works. Stats are of no consequence since you would have to finish every match against the computer which is just a waste of time (you can G or BG the computer just about everytime easily)

I also resent a large corporation such as Microsoft that offers a game and does nothing to fix it when there are so many complaints about it. They certainly can find a fix or at the very least give us more chat options to let the cheaters know we know they are cheating and give us the opportunity to report them. I have read through all of these posts and someone earlier mentioned that they start the timer on their opponent when they stall. How is it that you can do that? I don't have the option to start a timer. Is it a different version?

There is no timer in the win7 version unless you just use one of your own. But I have also heard people mention ratings and those don't exist either. People are always saying things that don't make sense.

After posting here a few days ago I've played several games of BG and almost every game has been a cheater. This isn't an opinion it is a fact. Some of them being so obvious such as in one game on the very first roll my cheating opponent won the roll and went first. He rolled a 5/3 but however he moved 4 times on his own chips and moved one of mine. He moved it into my home space on top of his 2 chips in the number 1 position. We all know that isn't possible. I have had several very obvious things like this happen while playing this BG game. I sure hope that Microsoft will do something about this.

I am considering starting a facebook page about Microsoft backgammon and cheaters. I'll let you all know if I do. Maybe that will get Microsofts attention.
