Sideways Screen:

Try pressing Ctrl + Alt + UP Arrow Key, or try Ctrl + Alt + and a different Arrow Key.

If that does not work: Right-click on empty Desktop > Graphics Options > Rotation.

    The replies may be over 2 years old. This just happened to me and I was able to correct the situation. Sometimes, it's worth keeping the OLD thread. Else, my friend, I and many people after me will not be able to resolve the situation so easily. 

    PS: mine is only 3 months old laptop with built in Window 7

    And Yes, I get the joke! Only just

    Hello Sonji,

    Windows doesn't have any information in its help files because it isn't a Windows problem. Th orientation of the screen is governed by your graphics card; that is why, if the CTRL + ALT + UP/DOWN arrow key doesn't work you have to make the adjustmentrs in the graphics card control centre.
