Registry Cleaner that works well with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OS

it is a little older Blog but i can not help it and have to comment here.

Here is the deal:

• If you install a software it goes in your registry all over the place. Each dll, each exe everything will be written in your Registry. For example if you install a Program like office with about 8.700 files in your Install Dir, you will also find about 8.700 entries in your Registry. Why do i know this?

 -> Select any file in your install folder and serch for it in the Registry and you will find it.

• If you uninstall the Program, all the Registry entries are still existing, they will NOT be uninstalled what means you have all those enties still there and if you install and uninstall a lot of Programs or Games your registry goes bigger and bigger and your system goes slower and slower. The only save way to fix this is either to delete those strings manually or to reinstall your system. I have done both many times and it is a really time comsuming and sometimes useless work.
• Some Companies are able to configure or program their software in that way that the uninstaller also cleans up the registry if you uninstall it but this is verry seldom. Not even Microsoft is doing that.!!!!

Conclusion:

Everithing is not perfect engineered, neither from Microsoft nor from all 3rd Parties. Because real engineering needs a lot of effort, that means you will have to spend more time to release a software what would make the software more expensive or the company has less profit.

Final

Everything is profit. If your System runs slower (related to a company) you have to employ a Tech who either cleans out your system as i described or they put a new Company Image on that PC, means reinstall.

Up to now i did NOT find any tool what is relaiable enough to trust so i still do it manually on my computers and those from my customers.

The bad things about these programs is

1: a lot of them don't tell you until they have scaned your system that you have ???? all what is wrong and for (their price) we can fix them.

2: they are not alway easy to delete the program off your system if you did not want to buy or did buy it

3: You mentioned thr freeware is also good to use, I diagree with that totally. A company giving away such programes are set to do so much and they inform you that with their paid program they can take care of the other issures you are having.

Further more I did buy a program that Microsoft said it was a good program to be used for your system and after buying it it didn't work with my system and did delete important files. Just as long as you ONLY delete programs from control panel, and your system configuration of services and startup programs have not been alterd, you should not have any problems.
