System backup error [0x80041321]

Hi,

I just recently encountered the same (0x80041321) problem along with getting the same corrupt "Task Scheduler-Corrupted Task Image" message and the same "Command Prompt-Access Denied" message.

I was able to overcome the "Command Prompt-Access Denied" issue by going around 3 pages deep into the replies on this web site and following the instruction in the reply from "SuzanneK sent in on September 03, 2015". 

Just remember to press the Return button after entering each of the three individual lines of information. 

After completing all 4 of her instruction points I logged out and restarted my PC then plugged my External HD back in and was able to do my back up.

W10 is indeed the problem. W10 will install itself by default if you do not take action on every 'reminder' to prevent it. This is illegal in the UK, don't know of others though. I paid for windows 7 on my PC, I expect to keep it as long as I want without interference from MS. Who the **** do they think they are forcing this change. I'm still waiting for someone to start a group action to join, as MS seemingly have no interest in putting this right.

I just had the same 'image corrupt' message.

Since I last backed up, I have, by accident, downloaded W10 and reverted back to W7. This in itself threw up several problems, but I am wondering if W10 is the culprit here too?

Hi Johndeere2640, yes it's not only backup that's affected. I keep finding faults, updates are not recorded and to stop repeats you have to manually delete. File properties change of their own accord, dear me theirs to many problems to mention. Pigging around risks more problems, as soon as my current work is finished I'm gona do one of two things, wipe the dammed memory OS off and reload complete, or throw it through the window. MS should be ashamed to have not come up with a fix. Its taking the ****.

I have all but given up attempting to run backups in Windows 7. Very discouraging.

You and several million others. Tried all the suggestions with only limited and temporary results. To rub my nose in it, Windows 10 prompts are unforgivable. Let me know if you hear of a class action on this.

Try Never10 from Gibson Research Corp to eliminate the Windows 10 reminders.  However, it was after installing this app and using it to remove the Windows 10 files that I experienced the Backup error.  I suspect Windows 10 "captured" my backup settings and then they were deleted.  Now I can't do a backup at all.

Note that I did not choose to update to Win10.  A new "reminder" required me to respond in a fixed time or the update would be done.  I was away from the machine when it came up and didn't respond.  The next thing I found was the Win10 license agreement, which I declined.  The screen went blank and I had to do a hard shutdown.  Luckily I had my iPad to find solutions such as Never10 and could reboot with Win7.  However, that's when my backup problems started.

I agree re: the class action.  How many people have suffered time-consuming and costly problems as a result of Windows forcing 10 on us.  What other mischief have they done in the guise of OS updates?
