Thank you so much!  I was having the same problem - went from 7 to 10 and back.  This worked for me - thankfully.

I am finding all sorts of problems after reverting back.  As far as I'm concerned Windows 10 is a total disaster for MS.  While I've been searching for solutions to the numerous problems I'm now experiencing it seems like most people are having the same problems and MS is doing nothing about it.  Total BS.   Still can't get my firewall to work so I guess I'm going to have to buy one which MS should have to pay for.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. It's rare that I search for something and actually find an answer that works. I, too, did a Win7 > Win10 > Win7 and had all the same problems as everyone else in this thread. I'm backing up as i write this. Well done.

Thank you so much!  This is the first helpful post I've found after 2 days of searching and chatting with Microsoft Answer Desk.  It worked.  I'm actually backing up my system to an external drive as I speak (type)!  Thanks again!
