bubbles screen saver very fast after sitting for sometime

i have set my screen saver to bubbles, after approx an hour or so the bubbles on the screen are whizzing by very very fast. no other issues with screen saver. system recovers after mouse wiggle or key press. havent tried any other saver.

dx up to date, vid drivers up to date

running W7 64 bit

duel vid cards gtx275 sli

duel monitors

Windows for home | Previous Windows versions | Windows update

Would have been helpful if ednlible told us.

I did some 2min research and found this site Here . This "mod" doesnt really change the settings for the speed but it does allow you to tweak some other stuff for the bubbles screensaver. Just have a mess with some of the settings and see how things go from there. Sorry if this sounds vague but its all i can think up of right now - better than nothing i guess. M$ really does need to fix this, theyve nothing for ages now :(

    Well guys I'm having the problem on both my dual screen scomputer and my laptop but I'm wondering if that's not a problem with graphic drivers. This wasn't happening before I updated them.

    I am using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 on the dual screen computer (Driver Version: 8.17.0011.9621)

    And a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M (Driver File Version: 8.17.0011.9716)

    I suggest that people affected by this issue report their DxDiag report to see if there's a common link between us.

    Hi I just wanted to add my 2 cents to the mix here. I am having the exact opposite problem. My bubbles screensaver (Windows 7 x64) slows to a complete stop after about 3-5 minutes of being on. I have tried to turn off all power saving options just to see if that was the problem but still...they slow down to a stop. I actually really like this screen saver to be running when I am away from my computer just for the simple ambiance. 

    I have done numerous searches using different ways of describing the problem but it doesn't seem that any body else HAS this problem. I am hoping by subscribing to this thread I can find some troubleshooting tips. So far none of the above mentioned has done anything for me. I have only one monitor and it's just my laptop screen.

    Having the same problem. But my problem is on Windows Vista Business (64bit).

    This is only happening recently, in the past few weeks or so.
