i have set my screen saver to bubbles, after approx an hour or so the bubbles on the screen are whizzing by very very fast. no other issues with screen saver. system recovers after mouse wiggle or key press. havent tried any other saver.
dx up to date, vid drivers up to date
running W7 64 bit
duel vid cards gtx275 sli
duel monitors

I did some 2min research and found this site Here . This "mod" doesnt really change the settings for the speed but it does allow you to tweak some other stuff for the bubbles screensaver. Just have a mess with some of the settings and see how things go from there. Sorry if this sounds vague but its all i can think up of right now - better than nothing i guess. M$ really does need to fix this, theyve nothing for ages now :(

Why can't MS just let us modify the setting of the speed...?
I am sure it's just a simple parameter.
It's very trivial but I hate it when I am out of my room for few minutes and the screen would go crazy when I am back, especially annoying when I turn off the light of my room while leaving the PC on, the room would be shining like having a flash light on, even from the living room I could notice the flashes...

It's a bug.
mine does this at work - 2 screens and extended display, and at home - all in one monitor, only one screen. 2 screens are Win7, all in one Win 8.1
