How do I add search filters?

When trying to search I click in the search field in my file explorer window. I see "Add a search filter" and a couple options below that "Date Modified" &  "Size" that I can select. How do I add more "clickable" search filters? I can only select those two filters. How do I add more to select?

Hello and thank you for your question.

In the explorer search window, you can click on those options you mentioned like “Date Modified” or “Size” to give you a list of even more refined options. For example, if you are in your music folder:

Without clearing the Search box, click Genre in the list of filters, and then click Jazz from the list of dynamic values. Windows Explorer adds Genre to the existing Length filter, allowing you to refine your search further.

    btw, now I'm going to rant.  SAP is equally as stupid or maybe more so.  And why are USB and other device connectors not color coded so you immediately know which way is up when plugging in.  And don't let me get started on tv remotes (black buttons on black remote, why aren't change channel and change volume buttons largest and most accessible).  Why do we have all sorts of containers that require tools to open them?  There, now I feel better.  I'm just going to say the heck with my seach - I can't find my file.  I'll just re-create it.

    I posted my reply to this thread after only reading part way through the first page of responses.  Only after my reply posted on page 8 did I realize that EVERYONE has this problem.  By 2015, what is finally the simplest solution without having to read 1000000000000000000 responses?

    Don't you know the situation??

    That's a dumb answer and not even relevant to the problems everyone has.  SO GLAD I am now finally out of the Windows search system!!

    What's so hard about SEARCHING BY NAME?

    Seriously, who searches by SIZE?!!!
