I'm sorry, but these "moderators" aren't even answering the questions, obviously. That's because, for some UNKNOWN REASON, Microsoft decided to drop the ball totally with Windows 7 and RUINED their search capability in Explorer. The person who designed
(re-designed and ruined) the search functionality AND the people who approved it for sale should all be fired.
Can't you see what people are asking for? For example, I just did a "search" in a specific folder on my computer with the word "quick" in the name. I knew there were several, but not ONE came up. Why? Well for one thing, I can't just choose to search
for the NAME of a file -- I have to sift through every document, html file, image, EVERYTHING that has the word "quick" IN it, whether its buried on the 10th page or somewhere else.
HERE'S THE KICKER. I got NO results with the term "quick" in the NAME. You know why?? Because after I dug around in that folder manually, visually, going through EVERY file -- the files I needed were named "quickorder.. etc." So on top of the fact
that Windows Explorer for Windows 7 can't filter your searches for just the NAME of a file, it can't even find a result in this case at all. NEWS FLASH: SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND A FILE NAMED QUICKORDER SOMETHING IF I AM SEARCHING FOR A FILE WITH THE WORD
'QUICK' IN IT.
PITIFUL, MSoft. And it really ticks me off these moderators ignore our questions and just spew the typical. I've had pcs since 1994 and worked on them before that -- in DOS. I have NEVER bought an Apple computer. NOW -- next time -- I have to because
I am not willing to spend my hard earned money on a product that not only is completely inept in even continuing to work the way it used to (let alone improve) -- but the fact that Microsoft and its supporters just ignore us. Oh, what -- "just wait til Windows
8?" Too LATE -- I will never buy Windows 8 because what are you going to screw up then??? ITS OVER, MICROSOFT. THANKS A BUNCH FOR FORCING ME TO THE DARK SIDE.
