Every time the computer is shut down, it always says installing update do not turn off your computer

I temporarily turned off my virus protection. I use PCMatic and that was causing an update to fail. This worked for me thought I'd share.

Is the problem with installing .NET framework 6.4.1 by chance?

Mine is, I tried installing that specific framework manually by downloading the installer off of Microsoft but that didn't even work.

I cannot install any new framework updates, but I have no idea why.

My computer fits all the requirements, but it refuses to work.

Something tells me, that if it was another type of update, it would install swimmingly.

I've followed most all your steps.

But no matter, it still won't update properly.

It recognizes the issue, but it can't fix it.

I'm running windows 7 on my computer, and haven't been able to update my computer for 3 months.

I have taken note of the kb, I believe it was 3102433.

The update that won't install is the .NET Framework.

I recall manually installing said framework at some point.

Do you think that me searching for, and installing it confused my system?

I'm having the same constant updating problem as the person who originally posted in the discussion. If I follow your steps and answer the questions you posted, would you be available to help me out? I'm not sure if you are still participating in this forum, since it started five years ago...

Type "windows udpate" in the search box.

Click on "Change settings".

Instead of "Install updates automatically (recommended)", select any other options.

Remember updates are necessary to install as it protects your computer from viruses and provides latest updates and drivers for your system.
