Windows Media Player 12: How to permanently display the list pane

Can those who are saying that reinstalling win7 will fix this problem explain why it would work.  It doesnt make sense to me.  If it didn't work on the initial install, why would using the same install dvd make a difference?

G80, do you work for Microsoft?  Because you sound like one of the toolbags that created Windows 7.  Reinstalling Windows 7 does not fix anything.  This is a problem with Windows Media Player 12.  If you actually think that your list always shows, even when you click on an individual video file at startup, you obviously are wrong and do not understand what this whole thread is about.

Not only can you not get the list pane to show, but another annoying thing is how you have to right click and go to full screen every time you click on a new video file.  In previous version WMP would remember the way you had your last video set and would open it in full screen if that's the way you always open your videos.  But leave it to Microsoft to take something that was working perfectly fine and screw it up.

No I am not workin for microsoft, you will know that if you read the whole tread. If you dont want to reinstall windows then you can wait for microsoft to fix it if they want to. What else can I say.

1. Mediaplayer with default settings has never remembered your last playlist.
2. About the problem with "allways show list" in "now playing mode" when you are playing videos. As I wrote before its a kind of a bug, because its not a problem every users have. Maybe that explains why supporters dont understand this thread. Anyway I have this problem before and now I have reinstalled windows 7 and the problem is gone. But...

When I open my video music playlist then I still have to click on "show list", but after that when I trackin around the videos the List still showing....

No no - we're not asking for it to remember the last playlist - we're asking for the LIST PANE to remain visible on startup, so that whenever you first open a file with Media Player, the playlist is automatically displayed without having to choose "Show list". I want this for music and videos.

I know what this tread is about. Actually the problem in the start up is not that big,   but after you click "show list" then media player hiding the list again when playing next video.

Solution for allways showing list is to reinstall windows 7. its working for me. But in mediaplayer start up you still have to click show list, but after that its showing the list between all the videos in your list.
