Am I crazy, or did my task bar disappear? When I am looking at my desktop I have a task bar... and I could have sworn that for the last couple months (since installing Vista) I had a task bar visable when I was in Internet Explorer. ("You don't know what you got til its gone." :-P) Only problem is, NOW when I'm in Internet Explorer, I DON'T have a task bar. I NOW have to navigate between programs by using the ALT+TAB. I don't know of anything else that has changed on this computer.
Any ideas on how to get the task bar up an running for while I'm in Internet
Explorer?

Hello,
It sounds like you may have accidentally enabled Internet Explorer's kiosk mode. Press the F11 key inside of internet explorer, and see if that fixes the problem.

I too had this problem and the taskbar was not hidden and the "keep on top of other windows" was checked. I reduced the window in Internet Explorer, then expanded each edge manually by pulling on them, then expanded the window again by clicking the appropriate button on the top right, and my taskbar came back. I don't know why, but it worked. I have answered two years after this post, but hopefully it can help someone else.
F11 toggles Full Screen mode (which should solve Corin's problem) in Internet Explorer. Kiosk mode is something different.
Go into Control Panel on your Start menu. Click on and open up the task bar/start menu. Make sure you have checked off
:Keep on top of other windows", then hit Apply, and then hit Okay. This should fix it for you.

hello i have this problem and i dont understand where you find the taskbar or start menu on control panel sorry i am rather supid and i need even simple things explained to me ha ;)
