Unable to create a system repair disc 0x80070057

When I create a system repair disk,once click create button and error came out

original title: the parameter is incorrect ( 0x80070057)

Hi lew9789,

·         Which method did you follow to create the recovery disc?

i.           Boot the system by inserting Windows 7 installation disc.

ii.         When it gets to the main setup window, click on Repair from the lower left corner.

iii.       Select Command Prompt from the main Repair menu. 

iv.        At the command prompt type in recdisc, then ENTER.

v.          You'll get the popup to choose which drive letter to create the Recovery disc to.

vi.        Have a clean DVD in the DVD drive and select start.

This should get your System repair disc created.

    If you are having trouble creating system restore disks (error: 0x80070057) on an HP computer using the Windows 7 utility, consider that HP may have hijacked the utility (rendering it not functional).  You may have to use the HP Recovery Media Creation utility that came with your new computer.

    It is likely that running "sfc /scannow" from the command prompt will result in no corrupt files found, and therefore attempting to "repair" the installation will be pointless. 

    The HP Recovery Media Creation is actually a CyberLink utility and I believe that as long as it is installed on the computer, the "create a system repair disc" utility that comes with Windows 7 will not work.  Try the HP utility as it seems to work.

    http://cybernetnews.com/windows-7-recovery-disc/ might also be a solution.  Searched and searched for solutions to this, including microsoft sites - result nothing.  Just  loads of people trying to make money out of windows users misery.  Point 1 - a lot of people have been unsuccessful in creating recovery discs from within Windows 7.  Point 2 - Microsoft need to accept this and create a download option for this situation or better still, fix this problem.

    Should point out, further to my last entry - would categorically NOT recommend using anonymous Torrents as a form of downloading/creating a system disc, as proposed in a previous solution.  Use either your Windows 7 install disc or a recovery disc from a reliable source.  The NeoSmart forums <Removed> may be a possible solution.

    Hey - had the same problem. Was trying to burn System Repair disk - using some very nice (expensive) colourful Lightscribe discs - burnt some very nice pieces of worthless (expensive) ****, tore my hair out, cursed microsoft, kicked the cat (no i didn't really) then put a Lightscribe CD in the drive and it burnt perfectly. Checked it out - it booted/worked perfect. DVDR - no. CDR - yes.

    Question: Loads of people experiencing this problem. Why no answer from Microsoft??? This is a Microsoft forum right??? C'mon guy's, are you really so busy counting the dollars to bother with a simple reply?
