Old title: Windows Media Player giving wrong info....
I try to rip my music CDs to Windows Media Player but my recent new albums it gives me the wrong album info why is this? any clues.

It's possible that WMP incorrectly identifies a CD as another album. To fix this, look up the album info manually: right-click one of the tracks, select Find album info , search for the correct album, and follow the remaining steps of the wizard.

If you go to the All Music Guide database (which is used by WMP), and the information there is incorrect as well, you should be able to correct it there.
Also, if you make corrections through Find Album Info, that information might be used to correct the database in the future.
even I tunes often has the wrong information quite often
Ok, what about when the database getting the information is wrong? How can we get that corrected? The info on the CD is somehow not getting the correct info to the database or the database does not have it and it just gets the next closest thing.
The database on iTunes has the correct info.
this problem has existed for years. the problem is that sometimes a new album has the information entered incorrectly and it is never removed . wish there was a way to submit the correct information like iTunes have.
I have the same problem (and, MS technicians please note, it is nothing to do with my browser cache, my WMP database, or whatever.)
For popular music I almost always have no problem. Where the lookup fails, badly, is classical music, especially box sets. The offered result is quite often wrong, even listing more or less than the number of tracks on the CD. Incorrect performers, incorrect track titles, even incorrect genres. There seems to be no way to feed back "this is wrong".
The search facility (to try and find a better match) is woefully poor.
I previously used Gracenote (when I had a Creative Zen) and this was right, first time, every time.
