Can someone help me get CARDFILE.EXE running under windows 7/XP Compatibility?

You can associate all CRD files with cardfile.exe. Then make a shortcut to any of your CRD files and the shortcut will auto-launch cardfile.exe and open your clicked CRD file in it.

How do you associate CRD files with cardfile.exe? Easy. Right click any of your CRD files, select Properties. On the General tab, there is an item labeled: "Opens with:". There is a "CHANGE" button to the right of that which, when clicked, takes you to a list of applications from which you can choose. You can have your system open CRD files with whatever application you choose but CRD files are native to cardfile.exe so that would be your best choice.

    I used to be a CARDFILE fanatical user until I was told by a friend of mine to download and try an application called azzCardfile which you can locate by searching the web.  After the trial period  if you choose to keep it it costs $19. which in my opinion is "highly" worth it. Give it a "try" for free and see how it works. Best of all, it automatically "imports" the cardfile.crd files so the whole thing is a breeze. I may sound like a salesman here but let me assure you I have nothing to do with the programmers, whoever they are.

    This program works for my Windows 7 but only thing it does not do is let you print the contacts it stops working if you try to print from it.

    I've tried AZZ and every other work-alike program to get something to read my CRD data on my W7 64 bit machine.

    I finally just used my old XP machine and printed my .CRD file to a text file.

    You have to print to an RTF file so the formatting s acceptable. But I can open it with notepad or any other text editor on my 64 bit machine. You can still do a search and none of my old data that I have saved through all the windows iterations is lost.

    I even loaded it into my Android tablet. Works great. Not pretty but functional.

    I found the 32 bit version that came with Windows NT today at http://internetvail.com/files/

    It works on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

    Apparently the cardfile.hlp is no longer needed as I only downloaded the exe and it worked.  The .zip is the same thing just zipped up.

    Hi, my system crashed a few day ago and I lost my cardfile.exe... the link above requires a user id & password that I do not have.  I would appreciate it if you would send me the zipped file that you downloaded to me at ******@rassiner.com.
