windows live mail unsent messages in outbox

Tried Bat-Bubba's solution which appears to have helped others. 

"In the Home Tab, check to Work Offline. In the View Tab, uncheck the Reading Pane. On the left hand side, scroll down to "Storage Folders" and you'll see the Outbox. Open the Outbox and delete the message..."

I still could not find the word 'outbox' on the left panel. Finally saw it where everyone said it was, but it was in the default language which I had specified when signing up for live essentials, while all the other titles were in my major language English, so I was looking for it in English and completely overlooked it. It was right there all the time. Talk about selective perception. Problem solved.

I could not get to your forum sight you suggested. I think it is old. Please either update the reply or take it off. I had to use the solution from Bat-Bubba.

I'm glad to see that Bat-Bubba's reply (the justified sarcasm of which I have praised more than once) is still helpful to some people.  It doesn't solve the problem for my computer (with Btinternet, in UK).  I've had them take control, create a new account; it works for a few days, but the WLM gets more and more reluctant to get messages Sent.   They hang around in the OUT folder, sometimes for ever, until I copy them and send them by webmail (gmail or Yahoo).

To the moderator, who cares if the thread is old if people are still experienceing the problem and no real solution was posted. If you want no further replies, close it. Thanks for no solution to the problem, you've been a great help!

The very first post by the support engineer should have just given the simple solution and been done with the entire conversation. Just like trying to get an answer from government employees, microsoft has to give people the run-a-around and try to send you to 50 different "departments" before you finally get an answer when they could have just answered it or found out the answer in the first place. You can't tell me that someone who is an engineer for the company is not already familiar with all products, if they aren't, then they should be or should be fired."

A maybe more practical way is to select Quick Views under the View tab and there check "All mails" (This is eighth line in the list). One then gets a line All emails  in the Quick Views pane. After hitting this entry in the Quick Views pane one gets to see all emails recieved, sent and unsent. The next time one wants to see emails that were not sent out one just has to look under All email in the Quick Views pane.

It is amazing that they did not find this out yet at Microsoft.
