If your computer is having problems playing sound, try using the Playing Audio troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common problems with your volume settings, your sound card or driver, and your speakers or headphones.

To open the Playing Audio troubleshooter:

1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.

2. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting.

3. Under Hardware and Sound, click Troubleshoot audio playback.

4. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

What do I do if my computer has no sound?

i have sound problem in my computer.actually i bought sound card"QUANTUM PCI 4SH SOUND CARD QHM8000"it is not working in win7& 8 and it is working in windows xp.and when i install the sound card cd in my windows 7 pc it says me it is not comfortable your pc.

if you don't mind could you tell me where can i download comfortable sound drivers for my pc.

i have got this problem around one month.and i have done the youtube videos"how to solve the sound problem in your pc"then also i can't solve this problem.

pleas send me answer for my question as soon as possiable....

TRY ACCESSING YOUR MASTER SOUND PANEL (Right click on the little speaker symbol on the bottom tool bar of your desktop) then select master volume mixer and then see if it shows any of those turned off. If they are click on them to turn them on. Also if you haven't already check to see if the off volume button on the top of your key board is turned off.

Have you tried completely turning your computer off?
