How to move pictures around in a folder

I absolutely must have the drag and drop feature within folders to function in my professional capacity.  I am a photographer and drag images into the order I need them to appear in slide shows and other related applications.  With that feature disabled I will be forced to rename each picture in the order I want to resort them and then use your sort function.  Far more time consuming and labor intensive than dragging and dropping images into the order I desire.  I appreciate that you think the new sort and search functions are more advanced and intuitive but some of us have developed a professional workflow that relies on capabilities you've now determined are unnecessary.  My frustration is intense.  I just spent three days moving from my old computer to a new unit running Windows 7 64 bit in order to improve the functionality of my Adobe software only to find out that one of the most personally useful features in Windows has been disabled.  Huge kick in the teeth guys.  FIX IT PLEASE!

I just upgraded from Vista and cannot believe that Microsoft removed this bit of functionality in Windows 7.  What in the world would make Microsoft think that eliminating a user's choice about managing items with a folder was good thing?  I  arrange 100 images of a single architectural project at a time before naming them, and I need to quckly move them around to see how the order looks and what needs to be adjusted.  In this area, Windows 7 is a downgrade--it prevents me from accomplishing a task that Vista allowed me to do quickly and efficiently.  PLEASE FIX IT!

There are a great number of us out there that are extremely frustrated with what appears to be an arbitrary choice to eliminate this option on MS's part, probably to enable some other feature, but simultaneously taking away our need to be able to arrange our files in our own preferred format. And I am sure with some more programming you could have given us this option while still achieving whatever you wanted to achieve in this area of organization and Libraries (which I see no use for). All you did so far since January is to explain that we can't do what we want, then you disappeared, not giving any reasons for why this was done and if MS is going to addresss it and when this will happen

 Is this a forum for real dialogue with MS or just a way to capture stuff you want and think is valuable, and then just ignore the rest. This doesn't show any respect for us as your customers. WE PAY YOUR PAYCHECK> MANY People have been complaining about this since the intro of Windows 7,  and I have yet to hear MS say one thing about why they did it;and more importantly what they plan to do about it.

Why don't you and MS come out front and be honest with us? We gave you our money and you are hiding on this issue. Will we hear from you again or will you continue to hide? Do you respect your customers or are we just sources of money that you ignore when you want to, after you took our money?

I hope you prove my worst fears to be wrong.

I understand that there are some issues that need to be addressed. Microsoft is constantly working towards bettering the Operating System and satisfying the need of the customers with minimal flaws.
