How do I disable the Windows 7 Magnifier?

How do I disable Windows 7 Magnifier all together? It have the check box unchecked for starting at startup but my mouse button still starts it. I use to use that button for something else and Windows will not let me map it to the other application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi wil2liv,

Thank you for using the Answers forum,

Give this a try:

Click on the Start button

All Programs

Accessories

Ease of Access Center

Then click on 'Make the computer easier to use' near the bottom.

Then unchecked 'Turn On Magnifier'. Hit OK and you're done.

    Nothing wrong with what you said, but here's a shortcut I

    prefer--instead of "Ctrl-Alt-Del keys-->Start Task Manager," just

    press Ctrl-Shift-Esc.

    This was my issue too.  I didn't even know I was hitting that tiny right bumper button, and suddenly the entire screen would blow up.  My suggestion is that this be included as the primary answer because the Ease of Access stuff isn't on by default - this is :)

    This is how disabled Magnifier:

    1. From the Control Panel select "Eas of Access Center"
    2. Select "Select computer easier to see"
    3. Uncehck "Turn On Maginifier"
    4. Click on the Magifier IOCN on the screeen and close the popup

    I never saw the Maginifier again!
