Windows 7 Media player will not play back BluRay disc's

That is perhaps the dumbest analogy I've heard in a while.

Did your radio in the Chevy truck receive HD or Sat. If not, why not? Why doesn't Chevy include HD on all their radios, it's a technology that's out there? What is wrong with those cheapskates????

Yeah, perhaps MS should scrap its Media Player and leave it up to better companies to supply those. I bought Cyberlink's player and it seems to be a lot easier to use than MS MP and it isn't sticky about disk formats.

Kinda makes you wonder with astounding myopathy like this how MS got so big. But then, it didn't. It could see where it planted its feet and where to step next. Now it's too big and can't see its feet because the belly is in the way and it has astigmatisms.

Awesome... So I spent extra to buy an HP Pavilion that essentially went to waste JUST so we'd have an "extra blu ray player" in the house for the family to not fight over the PS3, and from what I'm reading, we're basically $hit out of luck with this huh? Thanks Microsoft, I wish I had gone with my brain and bought a Mac, but, unfortunately, they don't offer blu ray playing computers either, but they probably will in the future!

As we know that Blu-Ray is a patented technology so it requires appropriate codecs to be purchased and hence we cannot include it in our Operating System.

 

To play a Blu-ray Disc, you need to use a non-Microsoft program that supports Blu-ray playback and a device capable of reading Blu-ray Discs.

Would Chevy sell a truck without a tailgate and tell people GM doesn't make them so they have to find an aftermarket one and because Chevy has its own colors, no aftermarket T-gates will match the truck color? Would baseball stadiums tell people that spectators had to bring the base-plates because the stadiums don't have them? TV manufacturers making TVs but not supplying power cords because they don't make them?

It just goes to show you that the higher the bureaucracy goes, the stupider and less useful it gets.

Why even bother to put a media player in if it won't play popular formats?  lmao

Getting serious now ...... 

Perhaps what's wrong with business these days is that it is more concerned with profit than actually providing decent products and services.
