"Play-to" network device keeps repeating same song

When I move a group of songs to the play area on the right-hand panel and select the "play-to" drop-down item, my DLNA compatible AV controller appears. When I select it, a new window opens, and the first song on the list begins playing on the AV device. Fine.

The problem is that song just keeps repeating. It doesn't matter whether the "repeat" control is turned on or off. I can click on any song in the list and it happily plays that song - over and over and over :-(

If I select a saved playlist from the DLNA client, it plays just fine and doesn't repeat. Unfortunately, I want to control the device from WMP, not from the panel of the DLNA client.

Help appreciated.

this is likely something that needs to be fixed by Denon. do they have a support

forum and are other users reporting the same issue?

    Some more information to consider. I've added a Pioneer Elite N-30 to my network. The N-30 is almost functionally equivalent to the Denon but the Denon is no longer sold and I needed an additional streamer. Occasionally the N-30 will only play one song at a time. I found that by exiting Media Player and the Play To window and restarting MP it usually fixes the problem. I also have MP set up as my network music server with all my music on a USB attached drive. The N-30 could not see any music library information. I suspected a permissions issue, even though I was sharing the whole drive. I removed the library from MP and then added it again. Once MP rebuilt the library he N-30 could see everything. So there seems to be some interoperability issues with MP and music streamers.

    Hi Colin and thanks for taking the trouble to reply... in the interests of keeping it brief I failed to adequately point out that I might have a solution for the previous poster, pretty much along the lines you mention. In my case it is with a Marantz player but the same thing applies...shuffle needs to be off.  SF-Tom's earlier post did mention something similar but 'Grr's' post suggested he still had issues.

    I've had the Marantz for nearly a year but only just got 'play to' working - previously third party security was preventing 'play to' although all other streaming methods worked ok. Now with a new security set-up all systems are go - but 'Airplay' remains the best option because of its support for gapless playback.

    Maybe 'Grr' will pick this up and update. - Thanks again! Ric
