Here you go,
In Windows Explorer, click Organize / Folder and Search options / View Tab.
Remove the Check Mark from the Always show Icons never Thumbnails option.
Click Apply / OK.

Hi everybody,
It seems that I've some kind of problem with the PREVIEW PANE of the EXPLORER which only works for pictures and not for others type of files ( for video it only shows a pic, doesn't work for .txt, .pdf etc).
Would you know how to fix this problem ?

2012-08-26T08:15:26+00:00 You don't need to lose this handy functionality to fix this problem. Try this:
In Windows Explorer, click Organize / Folder and Search options / View Tab...
... and then click on restore defaults.
This worked for me.
If you, like me, want to see hidden folders, etc, just stay in the above window and tick/untick those other boxes - is you know what you are doing and what you want to achieve.

2012-02-26T19:56:14+00:00 Same issue with WHS11 & Ran the scan - the process reported it identified certain issues and fixed them successfully. However, it didnot fix the picture preview issue.
So ran the scan again after rebooting the system and it didnot find any issues. The picture preview issue remains even after running the scan twice.
