i did the recovery procedure on my laptop but got msg..

As you mentioned that Windows is slow, I would suggest you to run this Microsoft fixit and check if it helps.

Please also run Microsoft safety scanner to check for any virus or malware which may be causing the issue.

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

    I have the same error the complete message says:

    System Restore

    Did not complete successfully. Your computer files and settings were not changed.

    Details: 

    An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0xc0000022)

    Hi Debleena

    I was forced to do a system restore as my windows internet explorer does not start up now after the latest windows updates.

    tried system restore and got following message.

    System restoration could not be done Computer file and programs has not been changed, information A: unknown error occurred during system restore (0xc0000220).

    So i have carried out sfc /scannow as you suggested when helping others, that has corrected the problem, but internet explorer does still not work any suggestions would be appreciated.
